Learners gain real, practical experience in using tools, wiring circuits, and working safely while building a strong understanding of electrical principles.

Throughout the course, learners complete modules that integrate core safety elements such as Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, and Working at Height, ensuring compliance with site safety and CPD requirements.

Basic Electrical Course Explained

This Basic Electrical Course combines theory-based learning with guided practical workshops. Learners gain hands-on experience working with tools, consumer units, and real-world domestic setups. The programme covers:

  • Electrical theory: voltage, current, resistance, and Ohm’s Law.
  • Safe use of tools and electrical testing equipment.
  • Identifying, stripping, and terminating cable types.
  • Understanding circuit protection and consumer unit components.
  • Lighting and switching circuit principles.
  • Performing safe isolation procedures.
  • Health and safety awareness covering asbestos, working at height, and manual handling.
