In particular one of the largest rises in employment are forecasted to be for electricians with a demand of over 100,00 electricians by 2032. The integration of smart technologies and the emphasis on sustainability contribute to this surge, aligning perfectly with the skill set gained through our apprenticeship courses.

ROUTES TO QUALIFICATION

The NVQ 5357 is the traditional apprenticeship framework, which typically takes around 4 years to complete. You will need to be enrolled with a recognised apprenticeship programme and you will receive an apprenticeship wage. This is a full-time course.

THE ROUTE WE OFFER AT LEARN TRADE SKILLS

The NVQ 2357 is aimed at Electrical Trainees who have completed their level 2 & 3 Diplomas in Electrical Installations (2365).This electrician NVQ level 3 electrical installation course is completed whilst the trainee is onsite and not at a college. It involves building up an on-site portfolio of electrical installation evidence to meet the City and Guilds NVQ criteria.

Trainees can earn whilst creating their portfolio without being subject to an apprenticeship wage as you can complete the portfolio so long as it is an official electrical installation position.  The route to qualification is on average around 12 months. Once the course is complete, students will be eligible to apply for their JIB ECS GOLD CARD.

To embark on this route to qualification, we offer our students the gold card package. No prior experience is required. Our students will receive in-centre theory and practical training before moving on to workplace assessments of their skills and knowledge when on-sight. We will also assist you with completing your portfolio and will ensure to provide you with employment support until you find your first job.
